Darian was in the bath with her rubber crocodile, when she began role playing. "This iguana lives in the desert; camels live in the desert. When he was born, he hatched out of an egg. My brothers and sisters were there." Where did she come up with that!!??
A few months ago, Rorie was teaching the theme 'mini beasts'. He shared his knowledge with the girls. I recently caught a huge grasshopper and the girls were fascinated. Could this be the source for this episode? Perhaps it was the influence of her new hero Bindi Irwin. Either way, our girls love bugs and creatures, and I think it's wonderful!!

I love the wings on the little angels!
I must say Darian's Mom has a wild imagination as well!
yeah, I agree with your Mom... as I remember, you were always creating stories. Eventually that imagination turned into one which concocted a fake fall by one neighbour down the stairs and the other neighbour (me!) frantically trying to give him first aid... Ha I can't wait to hear about the tricks these girls will play on you!!
Shoot! Your girls love for bugs may deplete as there are none in Oman. They may catch a glimpse of a gecko or two and they do have some nasty small ants. It is certainly no Australia. They may start imagining talking camels instead...
Also, I am happy to see that your husband also teaches about 'minibeasts'. I never heard of them until I moved to Dubai. It is good to know it wasn't something they just made up!
Can't wait to hear of your first impressions!
I remember you telling me about this and was amazed that a little girl of almost three had such a vivid imagination and speech repertoire. I am sure Darian will write some wonderful stories when she learns to write.
